JEWEL

Jewel started her first bellydance class only three years ago. She studied both cabaret and tribal styles, but switched to tribal a year into her studies after watching her first performance of Zi'ah Ali and The Awalim Dance Company. Primarily learning from Zi'ah she has also taken classes and workshops from Moria Chappel, Onca of Baraka Mundi, Rachel Soto, Urban Tribal, Zafira, and Megha of Devyani. Ria'hanna's love and passion for bellydance can easily be seen while watching this beautiful dancer.

Jaki studied Modern, Ballet, and African dance more than 12 years ago at the MN Center for Arts Education and with the University of Minnesota Dance Company. Unfortunately, repeated knee injuries resulted in the lengthy hiatus from dancing. In 2006, she began taking bellydance classes with Oracle at the Delphi Dance & Yoga studio in Lawrenceville , GA and in 2007 she joined the Jahara Phoenix Dance Company. Jaki's previous dance and theater training shine brightly through her magnetic presence on and off stage.
